Oh how sure I was thinking it wouldn't have anything to do with me. Fanarts everywhere, no interest in original art, uh-oh that's some scary shit, the world's probably going to end. I was like 'My mission is to create original art and detest fanart'. That was like a year ago.

But hey, we all grow up, don't we?
Sooner or later it becomes clear that famous shit sells. We all want to hold on to our ideals so being realistic leaves ugly bruises on our delicate brains. We want to be different than the masses. We want to hate people who draw fanarts and attract hundreds of fans thirsty for pretty pics with their favorite characters. They are famous thanks to someone else, that's what makes us irritated, huh? Aa~ Iraira suru!!

But the biggest problem is we are just jealous, aren't we? We create our own kickass charas, why won't anyone pay attention to them? Rofl, don't make me laugh. It's like some garage band members were asking themselves why aren't they getting as much attention as Madonna. It doesn't matter if their music is better or worse, they're just a damn garage band not a damn pop star. My point is, sometimes we focus on getting famous and forget about the whole purpose of making art. And that the value of things doesn't equal it's popularity. That's how it is everywhere we look, it's what we won't ever change.

So I started wondering, why the hell people waste their time on arguing, fanart artists, OC artists etc. If you have enough time to sit here on DA and pointing your finger at every famous artist who rose himself or herself on SasuxNaru or IchixRenji pics, you might as well remember why you started drawing in the first place. Was it for getting applauses? To hear people telling you how genious you are? Or was it to enjoy yourself? Cuz I'm damn sure not one person on DA has the power to ruin your fun while drawing, if you tried to blame anyone.

I'm just kinda sick of it, ya know?

Oh but I'm getting carried away...
I was going to say that my point of view has changed a lot. I drew a few fanarts and I realized it's not for popularity I draw them (I wouldn't get popular if I tried, anyway %D). It's because I enjoy drawing my favorite characters. For a few hours I have the power to put them in any situation I want, any pose I want, erm dammit, I can just satisfy the hairy otaku monster inside my head. That's not bad at all... not bad at all.

So, you can expect more fanart from me. You, the one who read it to the very end.
